The Time Has Come Punk Rock Girl (For Amanda)
The time has come to leave this place,
Full of agony, pain, and empty space.
To leave behind all the broken promises and dreams,
To finally repair all these torn and ripped seams.
The time has come to leave this place,
Of misery, despair, and the saddened face.
To rid ourselves of all the suffering and grief,
And gorge our lives on sweet relief.
The time has come to leave this place,
We pack up our things leaving not a trace.
Travel we do to live a better life,
One without all the piercing strife.
In the middle of the pit
A lone girl bounces excitedly with the crowd.
Hands in the air, shielding the blows
Then knocks a guy out who grabs her butt.
She's a punk rock girl.
Zippers, chains, and piercings
Hair cropped short; spikes of all colours
Her fake british accent does the trick
She's just a punk rock girl
Always home at the crack of dawn
You'll never know where she's been
Parties and rocks out all night long
Barely sleeps through the day
She's my punk rock girl.
Where Are You When I Need You?
I cried myself to sleep again
'Cause you were not around.
I had a shitty day today
All I wanted was to talk.
You're always busy when I call.
Where are you when I need you?
Where are you when I'm down?
I need you here beside me
But you're nowhere to be found.
I got in a fight today
I got fired from my job.
All you can say is "That sucks"
Then leave me alone to drown.
Where are you when I need you?
Where are you when I'm down?
I need you here beside me
But you're nowhere to be found.
I can't stand it anymore
'm tired of never coming first
I've had bad boyfriends before
But, Baby, you're the worst.
Where are you when I need you?
Where are you when I'm down?
I need you here beside me
But you're nowhere to be found.
